WOKE UP TO ORCAS OUTSIDE OUR ROOM!

Greetings Blog followers!

This morning was a RED LETTER DAY with the announcement at 6am of Orcas on the port side of the boat.  Lucky us – we are on the port side!  To be honest – I did not get up to look at them – but Jim did – he said they were spread out over a quarter of a mile, and there was at least one calf.  I will see if he got photos…..  And speaking of photos – Jim has been getting FANTASTIC animal photos (bears, mountain goats and sea lions so far).

Yesterday mom and dad and Jim and I took a nice boat ride in Neka Bay (or is it Cove?  Inlet?  Can’t remember).  We did not see any animals – but it was a beautiful day and we had a great time.  After the boat ride it was lunch time again, and then I got dad to take a dip in the hot tub with me!!  OH BOY!

Then a lovely evening with a lecture on geology by Jim and early to bed.

Today promises fossils on the beach – so STAY TUNED.
