FIRST DAY WITH NO SUN -it is not raining, just misting!

Jim and I have BOTH learned something new today.  We learned that in the middle of nowhere at the edge of Peril Strait and Sturgis Narrows, there is a State Park.  According to the map it is actually a Marine Preserve, and we do not yet know if there are bears here…… Assuming there are by the name.

And here is another FIRST – mother is going on the skiff ride this morning but dad is not!  He is going to sit in the lounge and ready his book.  Mom and I leave soon, but I have a moment to do my write-up.  We do not have phone or internet service here so WHO KNOWS when this will get posted.  I would hope that remote Alaska did not have cell coverage everywhere……

SO yesterday was quite fun as well.  Jim and I went on the beach walk and found fossils!  Mom and dad decided that since it was windy they would stay on board.  The morning was excellent whale watching.  The morning orca sighting and then humpbacks after breakfast.  I have a few photos (from a distance) and we will see if anything after I download them.

I STILL HAVE NOT SEEN A BEAR!
